Hello and thanks for dropping by my website.
I’m a Yorkshire-based, feminist crime-fiction writer. I write about two women, Lee and Jo, who have just opened No Stone Unturned – Leeds’ first missing persons’ bureau. Lee’s driven to mend fractured families because of her own experiences of disappeared family members – her dad went missing the day she was born. Jo is Lee’s best friend. She’s recently turned to political lesbianism, after her last boyfriend proved to be both a disappointment and a cliche.
The first one in the series, The Disappeared, was published earlier this year by Harper Collins. I write feminist noir because I love adventures where women get to be at the centre of the action.
You can check out my blog about the highs and lows of writing. I love hearing from readers and writers and am always up for doing events. Details about forthcoming talks, workshops and the occasional writing retreat can be found on the events page.
